Juan Cuadrado then extended their lead in the 29th minute before Andrea Belotti pul led one back from a penalty in first-half stoppage time.

In Spain, Celta Vigo were held to a 1-1 draw by Real Betis af ter the visitors were denied a second-half penalty by VAR.

In Ukraine, cash-strapped Karpaty face expulsion from the domestic Premier League after failing to turn up for the game at Mariupol, their second no-show over the last week.

The match was scheduled for May 31 but was called off after players and staff of Karpaty registered positive for coronaviru­s.

The re- scheduled game was due to be played on Wednesday but bottom club Karpaty failed to appear.

Ukraine FA committee chief Igor Grishchenk­o said: “On Thursday there will be a meeting and decision made.”
