Kiltie ready to go on the record
Greg Kiltie is determined to continue Kilmarnock’s impressive home record against Rangers – and end their unbeaten start to the season.
The Ibrox side have won just once in their last EIGHT league visits to Ayrshire in a miserable run stretching back more than nine years.
And Kiltie hopes they can take confidence from the fact Gers have always found it tough at Rugby Park.
The 23-year-old said: “It speaks for itself that Rangers have not lost a game and not conceded too many goals this term. But we aim to go out there and change that
– to do exactly what we’ve done before. The boys play a certain way and that works against Rangers.
“It gives you confidence. We have done well against them but we also know that it will be a hard game.
“They have had a great start but we’ll be looking to take some points.”
Kiltie (right) made his topteam debut as a 16-year-old under Kenny Shiels but has spent three loan spells away from the club – including at Dunfermline last season.
After signing a one-year extension in the summer he is looking to cement his place in the first team with Dyer admitting the attacker was like a new signing.
Kiltie said: “My aim was to get back in the team.
That’s gone to plan and I have started the last five games. Now my aim is to stay there. I want to be both scoring and making goals.
“Even when I went on loan I never wanted to leave the club. I’m happy still to be here.”
And Kiltie admits there is no better role model than Chris Burke who is still going strong just a few months short of turning 37. He said: “Burkey is a great role model and you learn so much from him.”
