Martyn is no slow coach
Martyn Fotheringham came off the bench for an 18- minute cameo that helped the Loons defeat Rose in extra-time.
The player/coach entered the game just before the 90 minutes ended tied at 1-1.
He headed the Loons ahead before being subbed off himself in the first half of added-on time.
Jordan Allan’s double booked the Station Park men’s place in the next round of the Cup.
Forfar manager Stuart Malcolm said: “We needed a spark to get us in front and Martyn provided that.
“Linlithgow are a good side so it is good to be in the next round.”
