Dancing On Ice newcomer Amy Tinkler is taking tips from fellow contestant Rebekah Vardy on how to avoid slip-ups… online.

The former Olympic gymnast reckons Rebekah – who is embroiled in a social media row with fellow footballer’s wife Colleen Rooney – is the perfect person to help her avoid any unwanted attention. Amy, 21, who was a reserve skater on the ITV show until she stepped in to replace hurt Denise van Outen, said: “Becky Vardy has really looked after me this whole time. “Becky was the first person who reached out to me when she found out I was a reserve and she’s kept in touch the whole time. I think the best advice I’ve got – not just from her but from all of the cast and the production team – is just to keep off social media.” Rebekah, 38, who is married to Leicester striker Jamie Vardy, was accused by Wayne Rooney’s wife, Coleen, of leaking information. Coleen, 34 – dubbed Wagatha Christie – claimed online that she had concluded the info came from “Rebek ah Va r d y ’ s account”. Rebekah sued for libel and she and Colleen are trying to resolve their differences privately to avoid a court case.

I’m A Celebrity star Rebekah is also training hard with pro skater Andy Buchanan but still found time to help Amy.

The gymnast added: “I feel like Becky is definitely the person who I can go to for any sort of advice.”

Amy stepped in after Denise, 46, fell and fractured her shoulder during rehearsals for the ITV show and was forced to pull out of the competition earlier this week.

She is one of three Olympians taking part in this year’s DOI along with hurdler Colin Jackson, 53, and skier Graham Bell, 55.

Colin has said he is starting a £ 25,000 course of stem cell therapy next week in a bid to repair his gammy knees.

The former world champion hurdler said the treatment was the “last roll of the dice” to avoid joint replacement surgery due to injuries suffered while competing.

He said: “I’ve got the body of a man in his mid 30s but the knees of a man in his mid 80s. I’ve had seven operations on my knees already – four on the right and three on the left – and I just can’t face any more.”
