Man, 44, dies at Magilligan

A 44-YEAR-OLD prisoner died in the early hours of yesterday.

The Northern Ireland Prison Service confirmed the man passed away at Magilligan in Co Derry.

Chief Ronnie Armour said: “I would like to extend my sympathy and that of the Northern Ireland Prison Service to the family of the prisoner.

“My thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”

Separate probes have been launched by the PSNI, the Coroner and the Prisoner Ombudsman.
