Probe after teen lads found dead under cliffs at seaside
INQUIRIES were continuing last night into the deaths of two teenage boys found at the bottom of a cliff.
The 17-year-olds, who have not been named, were discovered below a sheer drop near a small seaside town.
The alarm was raised in Saltburn, North Yorks, at 7pm on Friday night and police and Coastguards rushed to the scene but could not help the boys. The discovery came only hours after a lifeboat rescued a woman from rough seas near the town’s pier. Two members of the RNLI crew bravely jumped into the water to grab hold of the 58-year-old and bring her to safety on the shore.
The teenagers were found at Huntcliff, which rises to 365ft beside the same beach.
Anyone with information should call Cleveland Police on nonemergency 101.
