It’s called the People’s Set, made by a firm called Philco from 1936. My father owned one, as do I. It’s a bit of a classic – sets came in a variety of forms, including battery, and in different wavelengths. They started at around 6 guineas (£6.6s). The best Bakelite examples make £450. These need to be in original condition with no reproduction parts. A nice example from a good specialist would cost you £350.
