Foul play at sports day

We’re coming into sports day season so I have to confess I am one of those annoying mums who can’t help making a spectacle of herself.

But what’s the point of being there at all if you can’t embarrass your kids?

If my mum had yelled at me “a fish out of water could run faster than you” I’d have thought, “right, I’ll show you” and upped my game.

Sadly, it had the opposite effect on my son who came in last in most of his races.

It’s bootcamp for him this summer!
