Terror as 100s flee war-torn Mosul

HER face cut and bloodied, this young girl is among hundreds of terrified residents fleeing war-torn Mosul as government forces battle to reclaim the Iraqi city from Islamic State.

Yesterday dozens more families fled the fighting after suicide bombers struck in a shopping district, killing at least three and wounding several more.

The Iraqi government said yesterday they are now just days from reclaiming thecity.

French journalist Veronique Robert, 54, has died in Paris after being wounded in an explosion in Mosul earlier this week.
