JAN GLAD ALL OVER
TOTTENHAM flop Vincent Janssen will be handed an escape route from White Hart Lane by Borussia Monchengladbach.
The £17million striker has failed to nail down a regular Spurs spot and the Bundesliga club is keen to take him.
Janssen, 23, (below) arrived last summer from AZ Alkmaar after a sparkling season in the Eredivisie.
But he found Harry Kane blocking his path to a first-team spot and, when the Golden Boot winner was sidelined through injury, Son Heung-Min got the nod.
That meant the Dutch forward failed to secure a run in Mauricio Pochettino’s team and ended the campaign with just two Premier League goals. Monchengladbach have cash to spend as they still have a surplus from the £34m deal that took Granit Xhaka to Arsenal last year. The club has also off-loaded Mahmoud Dahoud to Borussia Dortmund and need help for leading scorer Lars Stindl.
SPURS are closing in on Estudiantes centre-half Juan Foyth after watching the Argentina Under-20s star. Manager Mauricio Pochettino would have to pay £5million to trigger the release clause.
