Drugs baron held and his gang busted

THE alleged head of a UK cocaine-trafficking gang has been arrested in Spain.

He was held at Marbella on the Costa del Sol under a European arrest warrant.

The Spanish National Police said: “At the same time 11 forces in Britain carried out an operation there ending in the arrests of 12 people belonging to the organisation he led.

“His criminal gang is involved in large-scale cocaine-trafficking between England and Wales and money-laundering.

“The fugitive arrived in Spain with the ultimate aim of fleeing to Iran.”

Detectives referred to him as HS, 25, from Cardiff. He was taken to Madrid for an extradition hearing.
