Karl in win on points

GARY BOWYER believes the transfer window system is biased against lower league clubs after losing rising star Bright Osayi-Samuel on the eve of the narrow victory over 10-man Wimbledon.

The 19-year-old’s move to QPR was sanctioned by the EFL on Friday evening, almost 24 hours after the summer window closed.

Blackpool boss Bowyer said: “He went Friday night from what I read on Twitter. The whole system needs reviewing because it’s Friday night when it’s ROBBIE NEILSON was pleased with how his MK Dons side recovered from a slow start.

Callum Brittain’s fine strike earned them a point after Rob Hall finished off a slick move after just eight minutes.

Substitute Brittain exquisitely fired home on the hour to ensure honours finished even.

Dons boss Neilson said: “I thought in the first 20 minutes we found it difficult, but after that we controlled a lot of the game, were the passed. It can’t be right when the deadline is Thursday.”

Sean Longstaff scored the only goal and to make matters worse for the visitors they had Nadjim Abdou sent off for a JON WHITNEY hailed Walsall’s deadline day loanee Daniel Agyei.

The 20-year-old on-loan Burnley striker opened the scoring on his debut and Erhun Oztumer made it 2-0, before Graham Carey’s penalty pulled one back late on for Plymouth.

Whitney said: “What’s key for us is that he likes the brand. Hopefully it will be a good marriage moving forward, but we have a few players fighting for the starting positions up front now.”

Argyle manager Derek Adams said: “We didn’t show the quality that we can do and at this level you need to do that.

“We’re at another level now and we know that. We have had 13 shots, but only two on target. We had a lot of corners, but the delivery wasn’t good.” PHIL BROWN felt his Southend team were too “one-dimensional” when Nile Ranger returned to action.

Ranger played the final 37 minutes of the match in which Rochdale lost Ian Henderson to a red card.

Brown, whose side missed a firsthalf penalty from Simon Cox, said: “It was a big bonus getting Nile back out there again, but we were too one dimensional when he came on... we stopped going wide for some reason.”

Dale boss Keith Hill said: “That performance was much more like me and my team and we worked hard for a very important point.

“The game was going in our direction in the first 20 minutes and we should have gone ahead.” better team and could have gone on and won it until in the last few minutes – it was an end-to-end match.”

Oxford manager Pep Clotet said: “We are a little bit disappointed two-footed tackle on Callum Cooke.

Dons manager Neal Ardley said: “He’s gone for the ball with both feet, so you can claim it’s a two-footed challenge, but he never left the ground.” CHRIS LUCKETTI felt his Scunthorpe players had passed a difficult test with victory, which came courtesy of a Josh Morris goal.

The Iron assistant manager Lucketti said: “We knew it would be difficult. This isn’t an easy place to come to. We spoke about upping the tempo at half-time and it was a great finish from Josh.

“Bury have got a good squad and they have recruited well over the summer and you can see that.”

Bury boss Lee Clark, who saw striker Jermaine Beckford hit a post, said: “We knew full well Josh Morris has got a wonderful left foot, but as a team we have to do better. We are certainly not going to panic, though.” PAUL HURST is daring to believe his Shrewsbury side’s unbeaten campaign is a decent beginning after Carlton Morris and Alex Rodman earned another victory.

Shrews boss Hurst said: “We’re almost getting to the point where we can talk about it being a good start.

“The result is pleasing, the performance not so, but we’ve won our last two games, without me being happy with how we’ve played.”

Gillingham manager Ady Pennock, who saw Josh Parker score a consolation, said: “I want to win every game, I’m bitterly disappointed. But it will come, we’re going in the right direction. A little bit of luck is needed, but we played some good football.” that we didn’t end up winning the game, but the way that we got this point it showed what the team is capable of doing.

“The team showed a good level in most spells of the game.”
