JJ AT DOUBLE BUT JACO OUT

JJ HANRAHAN scored twice on his return to the Munster side in a bonuspoint victory as they got back to winning ways at Thomond Park.

Training 16-13 at the interval, Munster turned this game on its head with four second-half tries as they kept Cardiff scoreless.

A serious looking knee injury for Jaco Taute marred the day for Munster, however.

An early penalty from Jarrod Evans was cancelled out when

Murray scored at the base of the post for Munster after 13 minutes, but another Evans penalty and a Josh Turnbull try 16 minutes form the interval helped the Welsh side to a threepoint lead at the half.

But the game turned after Taufa’ao Filise sin-binned following a ANDREW TRIMBLE scored a try on his 221st game for Ulster but they only left Zebre with a losing bonus point.

The 32-year-old Ireland winger equalled Roger Wilson’s record appearances at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi but his side fell flat and were very poor in perfect conditions for rugby.

13-6 at halftime after marathon scrummaging session, after which Ryan and Hanrahan ran in tries for the home side.

Robin Copeland sealed the five-point haul with his first try of the season 12 minutes from time following a smart Conor Murray break down the touchline, while Murray and Ian Keatley combined to send Hanrahan over for his second late on. John Cooney kicked two late penalties.

But blindside flanker Giovanni Licata scored eight minutes after the resumption as Zebre took a stranglehold.

Winger Mattia Bellini crossed over five minutes later and a Renato Giammarioli intercept (inset) effort sealed the win.

Darren Cave’s late try gave Ulster something but it was a dreadful day for Les Kiss’ outfit.
