No rest for Son of Rest

-

FOZZY Stack says his talented sprinter Son Of Rest is likely to run again next weekend.

The highly-rated three-year-old is likely to tackle a Listed event at Navan on Sunday following his third to Caravaggio in the Flying Five Stakes. A FIVE-strong team for the Arc de Triomphe leads Aidan O’Brien’s assault for Group 1 riches in France this afternoon.

On one of the biggest days of Flat racing in the world, the Ballydoyle trainer will be hopeful of netting a top-level triumph or two this afternoon.

In terms of the Arc, O’Brien fields a powerful squad in his quest to follow up last year’s one-two-three. The pick of his runners has to be the star filly Winter (right), whom Ryan Moore has chosen over Order Of St George and Capri.

The brilliant four-time Group 1 winner is far from a certain stayer as she tackles a mile and a half for the first time.

However, if she does last home over this new trip she could be the one that gives the red-hot favourite Enable most to do. Elsewhere O’Brien’s Happily can follow up her Moyglare Stakes triumph when she takes on the colts in the Prix Jean Luc Lagardere.

This filly is a tough and highclass sort and looks good enough to land a low-key edition of this prize.

Stablemate Magical will be fancied for the Prix Marcel Boussac as she bids to improve on her narrow second in the Moyglare.

However, she faces a very dangerous rival in the unbeaten French filly Polydream.

The teak-tough Hydrangea defeated Winter in the Matron Stakes last time and a repeat performance will see her take beating in the Prix de l’Opera.
