ANGRY O’MAHONY SEEING RED

- BY MICHAEL SCULLY

JOHNNY SEXTON wants Leinster’s derby victory to “kick-start” their season.

And for his part, Peter O’Mahony admits he takes “huge offence” at the suggestion Munster lacked intensity at the Aviva Stadium. Blues skipper Sexton said: “There were lots of positives and plenty to work on as well.

“We’re going to have to go up a couple of levels against one of the best teams in France next week.”

Meanwhile O’Mahony took exception to former Ireland international Reggie Corrigan’s line of questioning afterwards.

Working for TG4, the former Leinster and Ireland prop asked O’Mahony if Munster had brought the right amount of intensity to the 23-17 defeat.

Asked about it later, O’Mahony said: “I think it’s a silly question, essentially calling myself and my teammates out and questioning do we want it enough.

“For someone to question that I’d take huge offence.”
