Stranger Things: The Game
The nostalgic Netflix hit has been made into a 8-bit-style handheld adventure game.
It’s 1984 and Hopper and friends take to the streets and secret warehouses to achieve objectives and solve puzzles.
You’re based in the town of Hawkins but you can also explore the Mirkwood Forest and a laboratory guarded by Secret Service police.
It plays like a cross between the early Zelda games and Pokemon Red/Blue.
Part of the objective is to collect as many Eggos and Gnomes as you can find to unlock bonus content. Each character has unique abilities – Lucas has a wrist rocket while Nancy is armed with deadly bats.
There’s no multiplayer option aside from a time trial leaderboard, so replay value is limited.
But the game is completely free and there are no ads or in-app purchases.
