Lawyer quits in film mogul sex pest row
A LAWYER advising movie boss Harvey Weinstein amid an escalating series of sexual harassment accusations quit yesterday.
High-profile legal expert Lisa Bloom said she had “resigned as an advisor” to the 65-year-old producer.
Ms Bloom, who had previously described Weinstein as “a dinosaur” while defending her decision to represent him, added: “My understanding is that he and his board are moving toward an agreement.”
Weinstein, whose films include Gangs of New York and Shakespeare in Love, is now on leave of absence from his company and a third of its all-male board have resigned.
