It’s almost 50 years since Led Zeppelin formed and changed the course of rock history. But the band’s enigmatic frontman is still writing and performing with a passion and energy that made him one of the greatest.

His 11th solo album, Carry Fire, came out last month to favourable reviews and is lyrically bold, addressing issues like colonialism and nationalism.

He’ll be joined on tour by his backing band Sensational Space Shifters and some special guests – folk musician Seth Lakeman and the Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde. The 15-date tour starts on Thursday in Plymouth and finishes in Birmingham on December 12.
