SHE’S A RIGHT BLOOM-ER!
THE promising Bloomfield can deliver on last year’s promise by landing the featured Noblesse Stakes at Cork this afternoon.
In just three starts last season, the Willie McCreery inmate showed a good level of form and she should be more than good enough to make her mark at this level.
It is encouraging that she won her maiden on soft ground and she signed off with an excellent second to Eziyra in a Group 3 over this course and distance last August. If she can run to a similar level on her return she is likely to take a good deal of beating.
Earlier on the card the Jessica Harringtontrained Escapability makes plenty of appeal in the median auction maiden.
This colt ran very well on the opening day of the season to finish a close third in a mile maiden. He will be hard to beat if turning up in similar form.
Another horse to take the eye in the first turf fixture of 2018 was Saltonstall, who ran very well to take second in the Irish Lincoln.
That was his first run for almost a year and it indicated he could be set for a profitable campaign.
Our Anniversary won well here at Easter. She went up 7lb for that win, but this may not prevent her from landing the apprentice rider’s handicap.
An Saighdiur showed signs of a revival last time and he could won the last.
