I tried hard to help my pal Sophie

-

Jasmine Lennard says she desperately tried to help her “deeply depressed” friend, the Love Island star Sophie Gradon.

The Celebrity Big Brother star spoke out after Sophie’s shock death this week.

“I did everything I could to help her,” says Jasmine. “I booked her a ticket to LA a couple of months ago. I just wanted to get her away from everything and help her get well.

“Despite all my efforts I still sit here now wondering what more I could’ve done. I feel devastated.”

Jasmine also criticised the lack of aftercare on the ITV2 show, which Sophie appeared on in 2016. Emmerdale’s David and Tracy Metcalfe reunite for a kiss this week – and Matthew Wolfenden says the moment lingered in more ways than one.

He told how co-star

Amy Walsh purposely scoffed raw onions before they locked lips. He says: “I was eating with her. She did it on purpose. She brushed her teeth, but it didn’t get rid of the taste or smell. I should have eaten raw garlic to pay her back.”

Could the warring couple be back on after a chance meeting leads to a moment of passion?

“It all starts with her sucking up a pair of knickers with a vacuum cleaner, which David unblocks for her,” reveals Matthew.

“It’s all very funny. They end up falling on the couch, and one thing leads to another.”

But, he warns, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are getting back together, saying: “Maya, the doctor’s wife, has turned his head.”
