Britney Spears’ mega-bucks trip back to Vegas Strip

-

Oops, she’s done it again. Britney Spears is in hush-hush multimillion dollar talks to return to Las Vegas – and she won’t have to sing every note.

The pop princess, 36, is poised to ditch her famous Planet Hollywood home for a new venue with a deal “worth more than Celine Dion’s pay packet”.

The star and her team are in advanced talks with The Park Theater at The Monte Carlo to come back in 2019 – which will tie in with the 21st anniversary of her debut hit Hit Me Baby One More Time.

She’s set to rake in $500,000 (£380,000) per show, starting with an initial twoyear run, making her the highest-paid woman on the Strip.

It comes as Vegas insiders say that Caesars Entertainment bosses decided not to renew her deal at Planet Hollywood after a four-year run for her Piece Of Me residency, where she was banking $400,000 (£303,000) a show.

Now her handlers feel that with her astonishing success she should command even more. And MGM, which

owns the Park and has Cher, Lady Gaga

and Ricky Martin on their roster, will “show her the money”.

A Vegas source tells me: “Britney has pretty much verbally agreed to return for a very significant fee. “Her show is more of a performance so she won’t have to sing all the lyrics.

“It will be reworked from Piece Of Me, and built around the anniversary of her debut hit Hit Me Baby.”

In 2017, Piece Of Me was ranked the second highest-grossing female show of the year in North America, pulling in $38.9million (£30million). Over its run it grossed nearly $138million (£100million). Respect.
