‘BUBBLY’ BOJO IS POISON
It really irritates me when people refer to Boris Johnson as ‘Boris’, as if they’re mates.
He was a liability as
Mayor of London, he was embarrassing as our Foreign Secretary and he’s shown his true Islamophobic side as a backbencher.
Boris Johnson puts on an act for the cameras, attempting to come across as a bit of a bubbly character, but underneath there’s venom and viciousness.
Boris Johnson’s comments this week were outrageous. He knows he has a following and that his words will lead to a rise in hate crimes against women who choose to wear a hijab or burka, left. Does he care? Of course not. But when you’re being defended by Steve Bannon and Nigel Farage...
The Conservative Party has a real problem with Islamophobia, an unaddressed problem, something that Brandon Lewis and Theresa May have been trying to brush under the carpet for a long time now.
They need to deal with it and take action because at the moment their silence is deafening. The World Cup has always been an amazing spectacle and this year was special given how far Harry Kane’s England went. Part of the success of the World Cup is down to it being shown on terrestrial TV – opening football up to the entire country. A nation was inspired and that is why I feel let down that the upcoming UEFA Nations League has been exclusively sold to Sky, which I don’t have. It’s coming home... but only if you have the right package.
