Adele should cut her losses now

-

Adele has been showing off her extreme weight loss this week – and it’s terrifying. She’s always been a beautiful woman, but after losing seven stone since splitting from her husband, she appears to have lost her glow.

Rumour has it it’s down to surviving on green juice and 1,000 calories a day, half what’s recommended.

I’d bet a Big Mac and fries it won’t stay off. Fast, dramatic weight loss like this never does in the long-term – and it makes you miserable.

But I feel for Adele because she obviously was not happy in her own skin. And nor am I. Which is why I’ve entered myself into a body transformation competition.

Turning 50 this year is a huge milestone. I’ve dedicated the last 11

NEW LOOK Adele

FIT With Bradley years to building a family, being a mum, a wife and working my butt off. And now that butt is heading south, my waist has gone AWOL and I’m permanently tired.

So in a moment of madness, I entered myself into a body transformation competition, which is being held in June.

It’s a bit like a beauty pageant, only the prizes are for how you’ve transformed yourself – whether it’s shaping up after an illness or getting stronger when you have a disability. Or you’re closing in on 50 and don’t want to wobble.

Luckily, I’ve got someone to keep me away from the chocolate digestives – celeb trainer Bradley Simmonds, a very fit 26-year-old body transformation expert who’s worked with Maya Jama, Caroline Flack and Louise

Redknapp. He says as you get older, it’s harder to get fit because your metabolism slows down, but with proper nutrition, sleep and exercise, anything is possible.

I love food so I was dreading him making me live on salads or, worse, green juice.

But this is no fad diet. It is built to last. With the faint hope of a six-pack.

It is going to be hard though.

He’s already been putting me through my paces this week and you can follow my journey on my Instagram account – watch out, Chloe Madeley!

Brad tells me that body transformation is about the way you feel on the inside and the confidence and glow you gain from being in control.

And Adele would do well to listen to that.

I’m learning the safe and healthy way to shape up
