Paris in the family house

THE wife of boxing hero Tyson Fury has told how the couple considered a glitzy new life abroad — but opted to stay in Morecambe instead.

Devoted Paris revealed that she and her world champion hubby talked of relocating to an exotic millionaires’ haunt such as Marbella or Monaco.

But in the end they decided to stay in the down-to-earth Lancashire seaside resort where they feel most at home.

Gypsy King Tyson, 31, celebrated his £30million win in Las Vegas by getting back to normal life – with routine things like doing the school run, taking rubbish to the tip and pottering in the garden.

And Paris, 29, says: “We’ve always been sensible with money and already have X amount in the bank. Getting any more isn’t going to change us.

“We have a nice, comfortable life. I don’t pay attention to these crazy figures. What are we going to do with it?

“We’ve looked at footballers’ mansions’ but we don’t want to move. We talked about moving to Marbella, Cannes, Monaco, but we don’t want to leave home. Our friends are here, the kids are settled. Why uproot it all? We’ve got everything we need, we know who to call if the washing machine breaks down and if the boiler needs fixing.

“He even went on at me the other day for buying some fancy cushions. He hasn’t changed.”

Paris was speaking after returning home to Morecambe after her husband’s stunning seven-round victory over American Deontay Wilder to bring home the WBC belt.

HOOKS

The earnings from the fight – watched by a VIP ringside audience and millions on TV worldwide – are thought to have doubled Tyson’s fortune to £60million.

Originally from Manchester, he first moved to Morecambe in 2011 to train at a makeshift gym with his Uncle Hughie and fell in love with the town.

Four years ago he moved his family into the five-bedroom home where they now feel totally settled.

He has said in the past: “I think Morecambe is one of those places that gets its hooks into you and you can’t leave it.

“I love it. It’s true beauty. If the weather was better every house here would be a million quid.”

This week he was seen living up to his “people’s champ” tag by shopping with his kids at no-frills store Home Bargains.

The chain offers cut-price treats like a £2.99 Mr Bean DVD and £10 Spider Man costume.

Paris, who married Tyson in 2008, shares the family’s £550,000 house with him and their five children Prince John James, Prince Tyson Fury II, Prince Adonis Amaziah, Venezuela and Valencia

Amber. She said:

“It has been busy, busy, trying getting back to a normal life while thousands of people are trying to congratulate him. “He’s done the school run, he’s taking the rubbish to the tip and he’s pottered around. It’s all about normality.”

Paris also revealed she would like Tyson to quit the ring to avoid being seriously hurt – but only after a last bout with arch-rival Anthony Joshua. Joshua holds four other titles, and Paris said: “If they put all the belts on the line it would be such an amazing fight. I’d like him to take that one fight and retire undefeated.

“He can’t go on forever. I wouldn’t like to see him continue for too long and get hurt. “I wouldn’t like to see him lose his record chasing money or fame. He doesn’t need that. He’s already cemented his name in history.”
