Staying sane in Sainsbury’s

Fun new collection will help TU put the ‘super’ back in supermarket shopping

It has been a long and tough week. There are many reasons why I struggled, but of course the main one being the restricted life we are living because of the C-word. Having spoken to my friends and family, it seems I am not alone.

Right now, we all seem to be hitting a wall – metaphorically for most, literally for many – as well as climbing up them.

Today is May 3 – like seriously, where did April go? It somehow went by in the blink of an eye despite the fact the days draaaaaaaagged. How is that even possible?

But it is also Sunday, which means tomorrow is a new week and hopefully it will be a better one.

And it means it might be time for the weekly shop – another trip to the supermarket and another chance to buy an item which is essential to cheer us up. This week I am browsing the aisles of Sainsbury’s.

This is a tough one as this is where we as a family would have done most of our shopping. And most of the time, it was a fun experience. I would scour the new TU arrivals, herself would “big toy have a look” which often resulted in yet another piece of Peppa Pig plastic entering our lives, and our home, and himself would head off to browse the vast collection of beer.

It’s crazy how much we took for granted back then and I wonder if we will ever get back to those days. In the meantime, TU is doing its best to cheer its shoppers up with a fun new collection and a fun campaign to match. I just hope I can get back to this model’s level of happiness soon.. I’m sure that delightful denim jumpsuit will help.
