Vic: I blubbed for Bob after his heart op

- BY KAREN ROCKETT

VIC Reeves wept at the hospital bedside of his comedy partner Bob Mortimer when he had a triple heart bypass.

The 60-year-old needed the emergency op in 2015 after docs found 95 per cent of his arteries blocked.

It happened just before they were to go on tour.

Vic, real name Jim Moir, told Waitrose magazine: “I went to see him in hospital and I cried.

“He’s quite sensitive so he probably appreciated me weeping.

“Then I did a painting of him with his breathing equipment on.”

But Vic’s latest TV show The Big Flower Fight which began on Netflix this week, is not with Bob.

He calls it “feelgood TV”, .... like the Great British Bake Off but with flower arranging.
