11% admit to meat cheats

- BY KELLY JENKINS

ELEVEN per cent of us have duped partners into eating a meat-free meal without them realising.

And 19 per cent who substitute veggie versions for meaty faves have succeeded for over a year.

Some 30 per cent admit passing veg burgers off as beef and 28 per cent serve up veggie spag bol, a poll by Quorn Foods found.

ANY marriage needs the right ingredients to succeed... and Jamie and Jools Oliver seem to have perfected their recipe.

As they mark their 20th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, the telly chef and his wife have managed to keep the passion simmering.

They’ve always fancied each other like mad – so that’s the spice.

Jamie says he loves Jools all the more as she grows older – so just the right amount of seasoning.

But do you know what the real, key ingredient in the marriage is?

Well, five ingredients. It’s their kids. The perfect binding agent.

And the couple are about to renew their vows – determined to give their family the longest possible shelf life.

Relationship psychologist Emma Kenny explained how Jamie and Jools have lasted where many famous couples come unstuck.

She said: “Their family is their world, that’s what stands out about them as a couple.

“Jamie’s attitude has always been, ‘the heart of my life is my family’.

“There’s nothing more attractive for a female than to see a partner fully engaged in their family life.

“It’s clear to see the passion is still there. When we see them together, their body language is very intimate and they laugh a lot.

“They met very young, before Jamie was on TV, which is great – because he knows she loves him for who he is. She knows he chose her.

“The minute he got famous he could’ve gone off with a Victoria’s Secret model, not that he’d want to as Jools looks like one.

“He could’ve done whatever fame and fortune allowed him, but she was his choice and vice versa.”

Jamie and ex-model Jools, both 45, have daughters Poppy, 18, Daisy, 17, and Petal, 11, plus sons Buddy, nine, and three-year-old River.

Excited about renewing their vows, Jools said: “We’re going to get married again, but do things differently – outside and barefoot.

“Our wedding was formal, but we’re so not like that. It’ll be a big party. Why the hell not? I think we’ve done well!”

She and Jamie have been inseparable since meeting aged 17 and going on a double date to the cinema with Jamie’s pal Jimmy Doherty.

Jamie recalled: “I had my Fiesta with lowered suspension and a sound system. We were driving that night and then I went smashing into the back of another car.

“She felt sorry for me. She thought ‘The way he drives, he needs support in life’.”

The pair were smitten by the time Jamie rose to fame as the Naked Chef in the late 1990s and he’s still crazy about Jools.

“Personally, I’ve absolutely enjoyed watching my wife get older,” he has said.

“I’ve enjoyed my journey with Jools, it’s been great. I think I’m more in love with her now than I was then. You know, I saw her yesterday, grabbed her bum, it was
