IRISH comedy writer Graham Linehan has been suspended from Twitter after breaching its rules on using banned words.

The Father Ted creator posted a message on Mumsnet after having to delete a string of old tweets reported by, in his words, “trans rights activists”.

Linehan wrote on the Mumsnet site asking users to spread the word it was “malicious reporting from the usual suspects” that got him suspended.

He said: “I keep being locked out of my account and forced to delete tweets to get back in. The latest tactic by trans rights activists is to run a search for any time I’ve used the word ‘groomer’, a phrase Twitter recently decided was Not Allowed.”

GUARD Police outside the hotel

THE police officer stabbed in the Glasgow knife rampage has told of the horror that met him and his colleagues.

PC David Whyte, 42, was one of six people injured when a Sudanese national flipped at a hotel housing asylum seekers.

The dad-of-two, who was last night stable in hospital after tackling the knifeman to the ground, said: “The scene we were confronted with is

George Street. He has been named as Badrudeen Omar by friends, who yesterday claimed he warned he would launch the attack just hours earlier. One, called Siraj, said Badrudeen had complained about conditions at the hotel and was having trouble with noise. Siraj added: something I will never forget. Myself and my colleague did what all officers are trained for, to save lives. I would like to thank colleagues who put themselves in harm’s way to contain this incident.”

The suspect was shot dead by police after Friday’s attack at the

Park Inn Hotel in West BRAVE David

“There was no daylight in his room and he was very angry.

“He said that he was going to attack two guys next to him as they were making noise to deliberately annoy him. He said, ‘I will attack’ so everyone should take it seriously.”

Hotel staff were reportedly told Badrudeen was unhinged.

The six injured men are aged between 17 and 53. They were still in hospital yesterday.
