COLDPLAY frontman Chris Martin will be at a Wembley play-off final tomorrow – as a cut-out.

Chris, 43, is one of 1,746 Exeter City fans to pay £25 for a virtual presence at the big game.

The star’s home city side will play Northampton at an empty Wembley in a bid to reach League One.

A cut-out of fellow Exeter fan and Bottom star Ade Edmondson, 63, will also be at the ground.

He tweeted: “Wonder if I’ll be sitting next to Mr Coldplay? He seems to have a better body for a cut-out.” Exeter want players to sign the cut-outs so fans can collect them.

Club marketing manager Scott Palfrey said: “We’re looking forward to seeing them all in place at Wembley.”

A GREEDY cocker spaniel had a brush with death – after eating a pair of knickers.

Three-year-old Honey needed emergency treatment after gobbling down the blue pants, left in an open drawer.

Teacher Sarah Patterson, 48, was on a Zoom call with friends when Honey wandered into her 18-year-old daughter Lucy’s room and helped herself to the underwear.

“She is prone to chew things and she’s always had a thing for socks,” Sarah, from Oldham, Gtr Manchester, said.

“Lucy was so upset and worried that the undies might kill her. There was a chance of them getting into her gut and causing a dangerous obstruction.”

Honey went to the Vets Now hospital in Manchester, where she was given an injection to sick up the knickers, and was soon back to normal.

Honey is not the only dog with a taste for the unusual. The PDSA has treated a Staffordshire bull terrier puppy who swallowed an 8in kitchen knife and a labrador who ate a hearing aid.
