Wedding ban bride put her blues on run

- BY KAREN ROCKETT

A BRIDE whose wedding plans were ruined by the virus spent her special day running 5km in her dress and veil for charity instead.

Tracie Stanley-Wills, who has a false hip, said she wanted to turn the day into something positive.

So she ran through Nottingham last Saturday in her bridal gown and veil, wearing pink trainers and carrying her bouquet.

She said she received “amazing support from drivers along the way”.

At the end of her run she was met by fiance Craig who told her: “You are fantastic, I love you.”

Tracie, who has fibromyalgia and osteoporosis, raised £995 for Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre and Studio House, a rehabilitation centre for addiction victims.
