Fab new furniture finds in our favourite bargain store

-

There is so much to miss these days isn’t there? Of course you have the big things like your friends, your family, your freedom. But I have really been pining for the small things lately. Like going for a coffee, taking the dog for a walk without taking your life in your hands and even just greeting the postman without a look of terror in both of our eyes.

At the moment, I am really missing going shopping. Not for the essentials, we all know there is no fun in that, but just shopping for the sake of shopping.

Strolling in and out of random stores, browsing the aisles, not looking for anything in particular but being delighted when you find the one thing you didn’t realise you needed.

I have a real penchant for bargain stores. Poundland, Poundstretcher, Home Bargains, B&M...pre-pandemic you would have found me frequenting them all for a, well, a bargain.

Crisps, chocolate, greeting cards, wrapping paper, stationery and toys you’ll find so many great bits and bobs for great prices. However, it takes a lot of time and dedication to find something worth having in your home for a prolonged period. You will get the odd item here and there. However, one bargain store has hit a home run with its new interiors range. It is AMAZING.

When you think of the best place to go for chic homewares, let’s be honest, B&M wouldn’t be top of the list.

However, the bargain store has just launched a new range of beautiful interiors pieces which give all the other more expensive outlets (I’m looking at you Oliver Bonas, Anthropologie and Next) a run for their money.

From boho feather mirrors to animal print cushions and real marble tables to gorgeous bath mats, there’s no doubt you will find a fab piece to brighten up any room in your home.

And the best news is, B&M is considered an essential store under Northern Ireland lockdown rules so you will be able to stroll in and browse the aisles at your leisure. However, since it’s probably been a while since you did this and you’re out of practice, you might miss out on some of the best bits and bobs, so study this column well before you mask up and venture in...
