Keep up with Kardashhians
KIM Kardashian’s husband Kanye West could be banned from rapping about their split.
The couple’s £1.6billion divorce settlement may include a gagging clause – and it is believed that could extend to Kanye agreeing not to spill the beans on their marriage in hip-hop lyrics.
Kim, 40, and Kanye, 43, announced their split on Friday. They married in 2014.
A source said: “One of the big negotiations they have to sort out is what they can and can’t say about each other.”
Another insider said their dramas will be seen by millions on Kim’s reality TV hit Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which gets its final airing this year.
Kim allowed cameras to follow her as she tried to save their relationship. Kanye is not expected to feature in many scenes.
A source continued: “Everything in her life has been on camera and this is no different, except great lengths will be made to protect Kanye.
“It will be a very emotional series, with the focus on Kim’s journey from being married to laying out her future as a co-parent. “Their marriage has run its course, but their friendship and commitment to their kids has not.”
Kim filed divorce papers in Los Angeles on Friday. She wants joint custody of their four children.
The couple signed a prenup, but still have to divide their property empire. Kim reportedly wants their Calabasas mansion in California, while Kanye may live at their £10million Wyoming ranch. According to business magazine Forbes, Kim has a £660million fortune and Kanye is worth around £950million. Much of his wealth comes from his Yeezy clothing brand in partnership with Adidas. Kim’s beauty line KKW is also very lucrative. The pair, who began dating in 2012, had a tough 2020 as Kanye launched a presidential bid. Sources said they had “daily bust-ups” during lockdowns. Representatives for the couple did not respond to requests for comment.
