Sex & money chat is back on the table
TABOO topics such as sex, politics and money are no longer off-limits, a study has found.
Once-reserved Brits will now happily talk with anyone – including strangers – on any subject, says digital bank Zopa.
Six in 10 will openly argue about politics, and more than half think nothing of discussing sex.
Almost three in four are happy to discuss finances with a partner or close friend – and are open to admitting their earnings.
Zopa’s Clare Gambardella said: “It’s encouraging to see people tackling difficult topics openly. Talking about money is a great way to identify problems early.”
BRITNEY Spears’s father has insisted her conservatorship is the best thing for her as he hit back at the #FreeBritney movement.
Jamie, 68, who has been in the legal role since 2008, said he has always done what is best for his daughter.
Following the Framing Britney Spears documentary, which aired in the UK, Jamie issued a statement.
Britney, 39,wants Jamie removed, but a judge said he and Bessemer Trust have equal power.
His lawyer Vivian Lee Thoreen said he “has diligently and professionally carried out his duties as one of Britney’s conservators and his love for his daughter and dedication to protecting her is clearly apparent to the court”.
We‘ll soon be bombarded with instructions to get our bodies “bikini ready”.
My body is far from the magazine images – I have short stumpy legs, a thick waist, small boobs, a skin disorder, cellulite and stretch marks. I spent years damaging my mental health over it, and never wore a two-piece.
But since turning 50, practising selfcare and unpicking the damaging language and images I’ve been brainwashed with since a child, I’m in a much happier, healthier place – and can wear a bikini with pride.
There are no rules to wearing a bikini. If it suits, just do it. Along with a smile.
A BURGLAR made himself feel so at home at a flat he broke into, he told the owner it wasn’t her place.
Antoni Adams, 33, spent hours at the property and helped himself to snacks, coffee and Foster’s lager.
When the shocked owner returned to find him peering out of the window, he told her: “It’s not your house. I’ve been here all day.”
Police later found his DNA on a lager can at the Sunderland flat.
Adams, also of Sunderland, was jailed for 876 days after admitting the burglary in July. Newcastle Crown Court heard he has 93 previous convictions, including two for burglary.
