ACTRESS Jane Seymour has told how she once died on set but was brought back to life.

The 70-year-old former Bond Girl recalled the time her heart stopped while filming in Madrid.

She told RTE’s Joe Duffy on The Meaning of Life: “According to doctors, I did die, I lost my life.

“I was playing Maria Callas in a movie about Onassis. I called production on Saturday and said ‘Look, I’m really not well, I think I need to see a doctor’.

“The doctor came and said, ‘She needs two weeks rest’ and they said, ‘No, we need her Monday’.

“They decided to give me an injection of an antibiotic. A male nurse came to do it, he injected me and immediately I knew something was wrong.

“I got anaphylactic shock. What I remember is that my heart started racing, like really really fast, and then it went dead silent.

“Before that it was like ‘somethings wrong, somethings wrong’ and then peace, the most amazing peace, like in a full meditation.

“I saw the white light, I thought ‘gosh that’s very compelling’ and next I looked down and realised I could see me and I just said ‘Whoever, please let me get back in my body, I want to raise my children’, that’s all I could think about.”

But Jane is unsure if there is an after life. She added: “I saw a white light, I don’t know where it goes to, I was never given that story. But I have friends who do believe in it.”

Asked if she had a fear of death, the star said: “Well it doesn’t hurt. It hurts those you leave behind and I don’t want to die. I am grabbing on to every moment of life.”

The Meaning of Life is on RTE One at 10.30pm tonight.
