SUPERMODEL Kate Moss is bracing herself for a tell-all book from her former druggie ex Pete Doherty. The Libertines singer was in an on-off relationship with Kate for two years between 2005 and 2007. The blurb for A Likely Lad – due out in May – says it “reflects on his era-defining relationship” with the catwalk queen.

A source said: “Kate has really turned her life around since those days. She’s moved on.

“But fans will be fascinated to find out what really happened between her and Pete.” During their time together, Kate, 48, lost several commercial deals after pictures in the Daily Mirror showed her apparently taking cocaine at Pete’s recording studio.

Kate’s daughter Lila Grace, 19, recently told a magazine that her mum is “old and boring” and lives in tracksuits.

This year, Kate said: “My favourite moments are when all the family are sitting down together having lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon in the country.” Doherty, 43, went on to front Babyshambles. At the height of his addiction, he was arrested a number of times and convicted for a string of drug-related offences.

After one split from the model, he scrawled: “I love Kate 4eva” on the windscreen of his Jaguar after leaving court for yet another drug-related offence. Once, in 2007, he introduced Kate as his fiancée.

Pete told how the book was him saying goodbye to his old self, to drugs and to youth. He said: “It’s definitely a white-knuckle read.”

The rocker now lives in France with his wife Katia de Vidas, keyboardist in his band the Puta Madres. He said: “It’s a quiet, simple existence. I get up before sunrise and take the dogs for a walk. Then I go back to bed at six or seven, then get up again.”
