In its first foray to Spain, The Hoxton has brought its hip brand to buzzing Barcelona, opening last month in the Catalan creative neighbourhood of El Poblenou. The 240-room property is just a 15-minute stroll to the beach while the city’s main sights are also within easy reach.

Dining options include airy ground-floor pizza restaurant Four Corners, or guests can pick up a takeaway from the pizza slice shop, while the bodega offers craft beers and wines with Spanish snacks.

For spectacular sunset views of the famous Sagrada Familia head to rooftop taqueria Tope serving a Mexican-inspired menu. And it’s also where you find the pool complete with sun loungers and cabanas.

Las Vegas’ Palms Casino Resort treated the legendary Strip to a fireworks extravaganza last month as it celebrated reopening its doors for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

The 766-room property is also making history as the first hotel in the city to be owned by a Native American tribe, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. A cool $700million renovation in 2019 brought the hotel into the 21st century starting with the eye-popping Damien Hirst shark tank installation in the lobby bar.

Serrano Vista Cafe makes its debut, joining the range of dining venues on offer, which includes three-Michelin star Chef Mak Kwai Pui’s dim sum restaurant Tim Ho Wan. Other features include a multi-level pool area, 2,500-seat theatre and 14-screen cinema.
