Greedy touts must play fair with fans

-

I can’t believe that people think it’s OK to actively stop fans buying tickets by using computeromputer software and nabbing them.

Tout Andrew Newmann has made £3.45million n getting there first . Between that and alleged d collusion with the bigg ticketing firms, you get a good old-fashioned stitch h up, which works becausee folk are desperate and daft enough at times. David Baird, Edinburgh It’s immoral and should be illegal. Touts are scum. A simple solution is to make it law that no ticket can be resold for over the face value plus postage. It’s not rocket science. Barry Johns, via Facebook It can be impossible to get tickets from the websites, so if you want to see a show, you pay over the odds.

I wanted to see Michael Buble a few years ago. I was sick in hospital after major surgery and could not get a ticket when they went on sale, so ended up buying one from a private seller for £175. It was the best £175 I’ve ever spent. I would not have missed it for anything. Clare Thoebald, via email I ’d never pay more than the face value for any ticket. I think it’s great that Duncan Bannatyne has popped the question to Nigora Whitehorn with a £40,000 ring. He deserves some credit, as he will know if she really loves him or his dosh – love cannot be bought or sold. If he wants to spend his hardearned cash on someone he loves, then why not? we had hd an identityi card scheme. Leander Poole, via Facebook If you like who you are watching, you will pay over the odds. I paid £1,100 to get into the Champions League Final in Athens when Liverpool played AC Milan. And I had to buy two because one was fake. Andrew Coughan, Cheshire If people are that stupid to pay over the odds, then that’s down to them. I don’t think touts should be blamed for making money – it’s the fans who are gullible enough to fall for it. I certainly wouldn’t pay over the odds for anything. It’s just common sense. Kevin Creevey, Liverpool On the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard abuse claims, how many of us have walked away from a marriage with kids with absolutely nothing – just a sense of relief it’s over? I’m not convinced she did not know exactly what she was doing when she married him. And £ 34,000 a month spo u s a l support for 15 months of marriage? Really? Helen Somer, Bingley, Bradford I’m a survivor of domestic violence. Whether it was my birthday or not, after I’d been assaulted by my ex, I never felt like putting on my glad rags and going out to party. But then again, I ’m not Amber Heard, am I?
