J’ADORE HARRY Klinsmann: Beautiful Kane will set France alight He can be as good as Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic LOW TO BE ON HIGH AGAIN

his disposal.” Kane’s 25 Prem strikes last term fired him to the top of the scoring charts. Now, though, comes the hard part. Following this summer, Spurs will go to battle in the Champions League.

The bar will be raised this month in France and next term – but Klinsmann is backing Kane to clinically deliver the goods.

“His goalscoring record is beautiful and deserves huge compliiments,” added the World Cup-winning German.

“But the next game is coming up and so too is the next test. That is the beauty of top-level football – there iss always something coming up.

“To have Champions League football for Harry is very important for his development as a player. That is a huge challenge, as is playing in the Euros this summer. It’s a big leap forward, but it’s fantastic for him to have the opportunity to show what he can do.

“Of course, there are fantastic strikers at a tournament like the Euros – Zlatan Ibrahimovic (below), Cristiano Ronaldo and the others. “Can he be as good as them? Yeah, but only time will tell. “You have to give someone like him time. People have to remember that he is still very young. “The bottom line will always be how many goals and how many assists. How influential can he be during a game. “That is where it counts for the tru truly great players. They are the d difference-makers.” Eng land chief Roy Hodgson needs his star men to perform if yet another h heartbreaking tournament ni nightmare is to be avoided. If fK Kane turns on the magic, however, the Three Lions will be roaring. Klinsmann added: “The big names we love to talk about and watch, they are difference-makers. “They make something happen out of the blue, they do something brilliant in the 94th minute when everyone is tired.” FORMER Germany boss Jurgen Klinsmann did not have to think twice about who will be lifting the European Championship trophy in Paris on July 10.

“England can do it and France can do it,” he said. “But, for me, it’s Germany.”

The current United States boss believes it is his homeland Germany’s time, following their comprehensive World Cup triumph in Brazil two years ago.

The man, who won the tournament at Wembley in 1996, helped put in place the framework for Joachim Low (left) to conquer the world in 2014.

“I think Germany are the favourites,“said Klinsmann. “When you win the World Cup, then you are fancied to do well at the Euros. But there are always four or five names who will compete and push them all the way.

“This is a huge opportunity for Germany to be winners in Europe and the world. The confidence level is there. The quality level is too.

“England have a wonderful team and they are young and hungry, but, for me, it is Germany. Either way, it will be a wonderful tournament.”
