Gregg weds wife No 4
MASTERCHEF star Gregg Wallace looks to be hoping it’s fourth time lucky as he arrives at his latest wedding.
His BBC co-host John Torode was on best man duty yesterday as the presenter tied the knot with Anne-Marie Sterpini – who at 30 is 21 years his junior.
And about 40 close friends and family joined them for the intimate ceremony at historic Hever Castle in Kent.
Among them were Torode’s girlfriend Lisa Faulkner and fellow MasterChef: The Professionals judge Monica Galetti, who rocked a bleached-blonde crop. Gregg, who also fronts Eat Well For Less, had pulled up in his car early in the day looking anxious. John, 51, was also one of the first to arrive at the castle – but as he got out of his motor in casual shorts and sweater, he looked far more relaxed. Gregg’s mum Mary Pettman, 72, seemed excited when she arrived while another guest – believed to be Gregg’s brother Paul, 43 – turned up in an RAC van, claiming his ride had broken down. The happy couple were expected to have a bigger party with up to 120 guests in the evening. Weekend wedding packages at the castle are priced at about £250 per day guest but most of th e costs are thought to have been covered by a magazine deal. Gregg had postponed their big day due to work commitments in April.
The pair met on Twitter in 2013 when Anne-Marie asked him a question about whether rhubarb went with duck.
Gregg has two children – Libby, 19, and Tom, 22 – from his second marriage but is hoping to be a dad again. Last year, he said of Anne-Marie: “I think she’ll be pregnant by the time we return from the honeymoon.”
First wife Christine left Gregg after six weeks in 1991. He married Denise, a former pastry chef, in 1999 but they split eight years ago. Gregg wed Heidi in 2010 but they split 15 months later. The 34-year-old now lives in Dubai, where she teaches.
Yesterday, her mum Carolyn said that while Gregg was tying the knot, Heidi was “having the time of her life”.
