HERE’S THE NAKED TRUTH

-

So I caught my first episode of Channel 4’s Naked Attraction this week. It was six girls lined up behind a screen, with a bloke and presenter Anna Richardson out front.

The screen lifts and stops at stomach level so all you see is a line of naked vaginas.

And Richardson – the partner of Bake Off ’s Sue Perkins – and the bloke, who’s there to get a date, start discussing the finer points of each girl’s vagina. Whether they’re pretty. Whether protruding labia are good or bad. Talk about objectifying women! Eventually the screen lifts a bit higher and they discuss the boobs. Then finally the face. I’m sorry – but what IS the point of this awful show? It’s not educational. It’s not entertaining. It’s just designed to titillate and shock.

Women already have enough problems, getting raped, attacked and murdered by men who just see them as vaginas.

So this detestable programme really doesn’t help.

Channel 4 says the show, which also gets potential male dates to expose their genitals, “pushes the boundaries of the generic dating format”.

No it doesn’t. It’s just an excuse to show a load of willies and vaginas to get ratings. As for Anna Richardson – who point- blank refused to take her clothes off – what the hell was she thinking?

Or was she the only presenter mug enough to take the gig?

Whatever, she should be ashamed of fronting up a show that objectifies women – and men – reducing their status to mere body parts.

The whole concept is sick and twisted because the message is that sexual attraction is just about vaginas and willies.

It isn’t. It’s about stuff like personality, warmth, a sweet smile, energy – not the size of your donger or how pert your boobs are.
