MARRIAGE KO’D AND SEX

- BY GRACE MACASKILL

BRIDE-TO-BE Chalice Tobin and her groom just wanted to look their best for each other as they walked down the aisle.

She wanted to be a little trimmer and fiance Will Corley was keen on a hunkier look.

But their quest for perfect bodies literally went belly up when they invested in budget nip-and-tuck surgery.

Chalice was left with a lumpy tum while Will emerged with “ridiculously hard” pecs which eventually turned fatty – while a cosmetic “six pack” turned into a sizeable pot.

Both suffered terrible pain after the procedure at a Turkish surgery.

And the experience ruined their sex life and caused so much tension they ditched their big day.

Blaming 51-year-old Will for pushing her into surgery, Chalice, 44, said: “I hate my body so much I can’t bear for Will to look at me, let alone touch my stomach.

“It was supposed to make us both look better and give us the perfect romantic day but it’s ended up being the ultimate passion killer.

TOLL

“It’s had a huge toll on our sex life and I blame Will for encouraging me to go ahead with the operation.

“I felt pressured into it when I was terrified.

“I’ve always dreamed of having a flat, ironing-board stomach instead of the pouch I had. I wanted to be the perfect bride for Will and look the best I possibly could. When it all went wrong I was so depressed I contemplated suicide.

“I was frantic all the time and burst into tears continuously.”

The couple chose Turkey after first visiting London’s Harley Street.

One doctor advised Chalice she could get her trim look through gym work, rather than surgery, while two specialists warned Will there was a risk that a six- pack procedure would not work.

But after being quoted £14,000 for plastic surgery the couple went online and found they get it for £7,000 in Istanbul.

With a romantic wedding at a Regency house in Gloucestershire planned, the couple flew out full of optimism.

But Chalice, who took out a loan to pay for the procedures, had serious second thoughts after Will had his op first at the Turkish clinic.

Chalice, of Trowbridge, Wilts, said: “He had breathing apparatus on when he came around and was writhing around, pointing at his stomach and saying ‘pain, pain, pain’. It totally put me off.

“I kept telling Will I’d changed my

mind but he said ‘we’re here so you might as well go through with it’. When I told the doctor I didn’t want to go ahead he offered to take a cupful of fat from my stomach and put it into my butt for free, as well as making my legs more slender.

“I agreed to having my legs sculpted but said ‘no implants’. “But as I waited to go for surgery I got more nervous and changed my mind again.” Chalice claimed that despite insisting she no longer wanted the liposuction, “before I knew it I was under anaesthetic”. The ordeal was to get worse. She added: “I woke in my room feeling petrified, cold and in pain. I was wearing an all in one garment. I placed my hands on my stomach and they were covered in blood.” When a nurse helped her up to go to the loo, Chalice tore a muscle at the top of her leg. She said she was left with unexpected stitching and is convinced she was given invasive liposuction instead of the milder Vaser version she asked for.

BRUISES

When the couple flew home to Britain three days later, Chalice’s legs were covered in bruises in “unexplained places” – and she discovered lumpy bits of fat all over her stomach.

She claimed the surgeon also went against her wishes and implanted fat into her bottom.

Chalice added: “I looked worse than I ever did and was in pain for
