Adele wants Sid’s Albert flair for wedding menu EastEnders star to cook up feast for big day
POP superstar Adele is snubbing celebrity chefs for her wedding day nosh and calling in a Butcher instead.
The down-to-earth singer is turning to pal Sid Owen – famed as EastEnders’ Ricky Butcher.
Pals say Adele, 28, wants the former Celebrity MasterChef finalist to look after the catering when she ties the knot with Simon Konecki, 42.
We revealed last month how the Hello singer is planning to marry in Los Angeles after finishing her gruelling round-the-world tour.
And just days ago she hinted she was pregnant – or at least wants to be – by telling fans at her final US show, in Phoenix, that she was “off to have another baby”.
Friends say Adele and Simon have started to plan their ceremony. A source explained: “It will be a very small affair. Only a few of their very closest friends will be there, but Sid will definitely be involved and they’ve talked to him about food.
“They haven’t got fancy tastes. They could have almost any of the world’s best chefs but it’s just not who they are.

“Having one of their closest friends help out instead would mean a lot more to them.”
Actor Sid, 44, has reinvented himself as a foodie since his time as Albert Square’s Ricky.
In 2007 he wrote cookery book Life On A Plate and earlier this year wowed viewers on Celebrity MasterChef.
He opened, but later closed, a successful restaurant in France because he was unable to commit to it full time.
Sid has worked as a patron for Adele’s partner Simon’s water aid charity, Drop 4 Drop.
Adele was seen in Beverly Hills last week pushing a trolley – near the £6.5million home she bought in May. But there is talk she may quit the US after Donald Trump’s election.
The singer has previously told how a traditional English breakfast and scrambled eggs are among her favourite meals.
And she joked: “I cook for myself if I have time. I’m good at spaghetti hoops on toast.”
