GRINDR KILLER: I BEDDED MPs AND A TV STAR Date rape drug fiend brags of affair with BBC presenter

- BY PATRICK HILL

DATING websites serial killer Stephen Port claims his past lovers include a TV star.

The gay escort says he bedded a string of famous clients, including MPs.

Port, given life at the Old Bailey for four murders, boasts of a three-month affair with a BBC presenter in letters from his cell.

The chef claims it only ended when the star landed a TV role abroad.

Port, 41, killed four men with overdoses of a date rape drug. He was also convicted of a string of rapes and sexual assaults.

He met his victims through gay websites and dating apps like Grindr before poisoning them with GHB to satisfy his fetish for sex with unconscious partners.

In one letter, written while he was on remand, says: “I did have a couple of famous clients when I was escorting, but they were generally MPs.

“I have slept with one famous guy I met on holiday. I best not mention his name lol, but he used to be a BBC presenter. We dated a few months.”

In other letters written last year bald Port, who says he wore a £ 900 hair piece before his arrest, brags of signing autographs for lags.

The killer, who wears NHS prescription glasses, was held at Category A Belmarsh jail in South East London before trial.

CELEBRITY

He said: “Everyone here has been all right with me. I was asked a few times to sign a picture of me in the paper. I think I am the only celebrity on this wing.”

He told how he was looking forward to watching Dr Who, Mrs Brown’s Boys and Shaun the Sheep on Christmas TV.

But he moaned “I like Star Wars and feel sad I won’t get to see the new film.

“If I was out now I would buy the BB-8 from Star Wars or the remote control flying Millennium Falcon and a Yoda and Darth Vader. Yep I know I am a big kid.

“I once had a boyfriend who left me because I liked going to Toys R Us. He couldn’t accept that I liked collecting Transformers and Star Wars at my age.”

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is probing failures to nail Port early in his 15- month killing spree, with 17 officers under investigation.

He came under police scrutiny after the death of student Anthony Walgate, 23, in June 2014.

But he remained free to kill artist Gabriel Kovari, 22, chef Daniel Whitworth, 21, and forklift driver Jack Taylor, 25, too.

Three victims were dumped near or in the same graveyard opposite Port’s flat in Barking, East London, but officers f a i l ed to link the cases.
