England’s less is more... now for the Aussies WIN STREAK SAFE AFTER 75min GRIND WITH 14 MEN

ENGLAND boss Eddie Jones buried the hatchet with Elliot Daly – then stuck the knife into the Aussies ahead of next Saturday’s Twickenham clash.

Daly became just the fifth man to be sent off for England, after Mike Burton in 1975, Danny Grewcock in 1998, Simon Shaw in 2004 and Lewis Moody in 2005.

The Wasps centre walked the plank after just five minutes for a reckless tip tackle on Puma No.8 Leonardo Senatore – and Jones had no complaints.

That left England a man short for nearly the entire match – but they came through with Chris Robshaw playing the game of his life. Jones said: “He made an error of judgement. I make an error of judgement every time I go outside, we all do it.

“He just has to get on with it and has made a bad judgement and no one will hold any recriminations against him.”

But England’s World Cup-winning boss Clive Woodward said: “That was a crazy moment. If that was a World Cup final or semi-final, everyone’s dreams would be over. It was reckless.”

England got out of a hole with Owen Farrell kicking 17 points and Jonny May scoring a blinder to make it 12 out of 12 on Jones’ watch.

Now the boss is seeking an urgent meeting with next Saturday’s referee Jaco Peyper – and wants revenge for taunts on local TV during last summer’s tour to Australia.

Jones added: “We are looking forward to Australia next week which is going to be a bit of fun – the Australian media last June was very disrespectful to us. I am sure that they are going to be at that again, so we have got to be prepared for that and I am very keen to have a chat to the referee about the Australian scrummaging. “They have got some issues with the way that they scrum so we need to have a meeting with the referee and we will invite the Australian coaching staff to come along. “They were penalised four times in a row against France so they have got some technical issues.” Daly has played on the wing just once in three years – and that was last week against Fiji – and it showed with his catastrophic blunder yesterday. He tried to pull out of the challenge but it was too late and according to the laws once Senatore landed on his neck it was a red – and referee Pascal Gauzere had no option. Farrell’s boot kept England in
