Trump knows only too well his ticket to the White House was largely won on a boast of the changes he said he would begin to make in his “first hours in office” after telling the country he would put “America First”.

On Friday, shortly after being sworn in, he did make a start in the Oval Office – signing an executive order “minimising the economic burden” of the Affordable Care Act – or, to the rest of us, rolling back Obamacare.

The new President has argued it has created $1.8 trillion in spending that is unaffordable.

Before heading to the church service, he tweeted: “The work begins.”
