Valentine’s supermarket meal deal wars
LOVED-UP couples don’t have to fork out a fortune for Valentine’s Day as supermarkets are going head to head with heart-stopping meal deals.
Luxury cuts of meat, oysters, choccies and fizz are being offered at knockdown prices for romantics fed up with overpriced set menus and rammed restaurants.
Morrisons fired the first Cupid’s arrow with posh nosh for two for £15. Its deal includes a starter, main, side, dessert and bottle of wine. Choices include beef Wellington and salted caramel pudding.
The chain also slashed the price of a 15oz 21- day- aged Chateaubriand steak, considered the finest cut, to £15. A similar size steak is on sale at Waitrose for £29.99.
Not to be outdone, Iceland has raised its game for lovers this year with a luxury meal for two on the cheap. The frozen food giant THE mum of Emma Watson’s new boyfriend has been left spellbound by the Harry Potter star.
And she would be proud to have the actress as a daughter-in-law.
American tech manager William “Mack” Knight, 35, has finally introduced Emma to parents Katherine and Harrison after dating her for 18 months, we can reveal.
Speaking from her home in Florida, Katherine told us: “I have met Emma, and she’s a wonderful girl.
“We don’t see them very often because he’s busy and working very hard,” she added.
Katherine admitted her son, who has a twin brother Tyson, doesn’t keep them up to date on his relationship, but she would approve if they got engaged.
“Boys don’t communicate very much with their parents,” she said.

Before meeting her, he appeared to have been looking for a girlfriend online. Dating profiles still exist under his Instagram name along with pictures of the tech hunk. Since news of their relationship broke he has locked his social media accounts. Emma has previously been linked to Prince Harry as well as Potter co- star Tom Felton, 29, who played Draco Malfoy. Talking about her love life she said: “The boyfriends or partners I’ve had have generally made me feel really cherished.” Emma’s latest movie role is as Belle in the upcoming Beauty And The Beast alongside Dan Stevens. She said: “It feels like a lot of pressure.
