Bellotti on the charge ELECTRICIAN SET FOR TITLE GLORY
SPARKS fly whenever Reece Bellotti is working on movie sets for Tom Cruise or Daniel Craig.
But even more so when the electrician-cum-featherweight is doing his job in the ring.
The 26-year-old’s outing against Jamie Speight at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday will be for the vacant WBC ‘International’ title.
And he is hoping for a shot at the British crown before the end of this year.
In between fights, Bellotti earns a crust as an electrician on TV and film shoots.
He said: “I’ve worked on quite a few different films.
“I did a few night shoots in London on the latest Bond film, Spectre.
“Tom Cruise is the most famous star I’ve worked on set for in his recent film, The Mummy. I didn’t really speak too much to him, he was very professional, just wanted to get the job done.
“Daniel Radcliffe is the actor I’ve had the most interaction with.
“He’s probably the most polite of the ones I’ve met, he’d say hello and go around being nice to all the sparks.”
Bellotti, who trains alongside James DeGale under Jim McDonnell, has won all nine of his professional fights and would love to emulate his stable-mate by claiming a world crown.
He added: “Every fighter has world-title aspirations.
“I’m in camp with James and he’s a world champion, everyone looks up to him.
First up is Speight, and Bellotti said: “He’ll present my biggest challenge yet, he’s a two-weight Southern Area champion, he’s a good fighter, he’s seasoned.”
