I’d never be a pushy mum Pixie says she won’t force her kids into world of showbiz

PIXIE Lott insists she won’t push her kids into showbiz when she becomes a mum.

The Mama Do singer, speaking ahead of tonight’s final of The Voice Kids, says she would let them find their own path.

“I don’t think you can choose your kids’ career,” Pixie says. “If they have it in their bones you can’t deny them. But if they don’t then I would not encourage them. It’s their life.”

Pixie, 26, has been helping youngsters on their path to musical stardom on ITV’s talent show, alongside fellow judges Danny Jones of McFly, and Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am.

The final sees six youngsters battling it out to be crowned champ. And Pixie says she feels like a proud parent to the talented kids. She adds: “We’re excited and sad it’s over. We want our kids to do the best they can. We do feel parental. We really care about them. It’s an amazing opportunity for them.”

But having children of her own looks unlikely to happen any time soon as she’s so busy she hasn’t even had time to plan her wedding. She got engaged to model Oliver Cheshire, 29, her longtime boyfriend, last November.

Pixie admits: “We haven’t had a chance! It’s been so busy, but hopefully we’ll have time to get round to it soon.” Fellow judge Danny, 31, says he can’t wait to have kids with wife Georgia, a model. Danny’s fellow McFly bandmates have three children between them. Tom Fletcher, 31, is dad to Buzz, three, and Buddy, one, with his wife Giovanni. And Harry Judd, also 31, and partner Izzy have daughter Lola, one, and another on the way. Danny says: “It’s amazing, I see Buddy and Lola all the time. I just want my kids to think what I do is cool. That would make me happy. “I don’t want them to look at me and think ‘I don’t want to do that!’”
