Park your prejudices
Spare a thought for the women in Iran who have to visit “women only parks” to enjoy everyday freedoms we take for granted – like dressing how we want, sunbathing and playing sport. In a country where females can be disciplined by the morality police for not wearing a headscarf in public, this may sound like a concession. But surely the concept of segregated areas to prevent sexual harassment is a pretty sad indictment of that society. Iran needs to understand it’s not parks women want – it’s respect.
