INSPIRATION of the week

-

ARMY veteran Chris Lewis is walking the entire UK coastline to raise money for the Forces charity that helped him rebuild his life.

The former paratrooper plans to trek more than 8,000 miles in aid of SSAFA.

He set off last week from Llangennith Beach, near Swansea, and will be relying on the goodwill of the public and businesses to supply him with all he needs along the way. Chris and his daughter found themselves homeless as he struggled to adjust to civilian life after leaving 2 Para. He said: “I was pretty lost, the Army don’t teach you little skills like dealing with bills. “The situation we were in wasn’t a good one.” Find out more about Chris’s challenge at 1000Miles4SSAFA.co.uk
